LHS ARCHIVES RESEARCH MATERIAL

Since its founding in 1957, the LIVESAY Historical Society has accumulated a vast amount materials related
to the history of LIVESAY families. The material was maintained for many years by the founder James J.
LIVESAY. Jim the historian's duties over to Virginia Smith. During her terms as historian, Virginia copied all of
the material and forwarded it to the Allen County Library in Forte Wayne, Indiana where it is available for
public viewing and research.

The types of material that has been accumulated includes but is not limited to:

Files of hundreds of LIVESAY families accumulated by
identification number. Folders contain items such as
lineage information, charts, photographs, letters, clippings, census records, wills, maps, pension data, and
many other items.

Information related to locations where LIVESAY originated such as Lancashire Parish records (names.
Marriages, christenings, pamphlets, etc.).

Information related to U. S. locations where LIVESAY families settled (census records, land records, maps,
pictures, etc.).

If you have material that can be added to the Livesay archives, please contact
Virginia Smith. Virginia can

your research.
